Hey i just studied this last night, my trials are next week.
TECHNIQUES:
Personification- clothesline "silver skeletal arms"
"stood proud"
- small tree" a struggling sappling"
-foliage "like spactators"
Similies- "like spectators ' the trees around the composer were like her audience
- ' Like coloured flags in a secret code' the washing hung on the line , appeared as a secret message, showing imagination

Decriptive language- "smooth sweat-damp hands fiercly grip the sun warmed metal' builds up picture for responder to see exactly how the composer saw it.

Alliteration - "Silver skeletal arms' soft 's' implies a friendly tone towards the clothesline
"dry and dusty' the plosive 'd' emphasises the dryness

Present tence- " i bask in the sun...' shows the composer is reminicing

extended metaphor- clothes line is a window to the world for the composer

CHANGE; Physical change from ' smooth sweat-damp hands' to hands that are beginning to ' accumulate the line-etched story of life in scars and wrinkles.."
interlectual change , '' there are too many things tying me to the ground'

TONE: Nostalgic- looking back reflecting

thats pretty much all i have i hope that helps you out.... STRESS LESS!

sky-high

You guys might be shocked to hear this... but I haven't read sky-high since January... and I skimmed it too...

I really should, read it, aye?

Well, one thing, the persona seems like she's talking like she's an old person but she's only eighteen.

Why did they put that there anyway? "Aged 18." Does anyone have any ideas? Has anyone used it?

Maybe it has something to do with the pilot light... hmm...
