I'm changing my uni preferences and I'm wondering if any one could give outline the difference in jobs which could be gained with a BBA or Bcom?
Thanks,
BBA = General, it can lead to pretty much any job if you have the skills/experience etc to match the job. E.g. you can apply to the general internship/graduate programs or say, if you are interested in HR and did some volunteer work/experience etc in the area - you may want to apply for HR streams or positions.
B Comm = as Azure said, it allows you to major in something which ultimately means you get a deeper understanding of the topic. E.g. you major in HR - get a HR job or apply for internship/graduate programs in the HR stream or HR companies.
Key difference between the two programs - if you know which area you are interested in, do the B Comm, it will help you get the relevant position (provided you have other supporting experience etc). If you are more interested in the business management side of things and want an understanding of all the areas of a business -do a BBA, get some idea which area you like and do some extra activities in the area to boost your employment chances.
With the right ability to sell yourself, regardless of which degree you get - you should be able to mould yourself to become the appropriate candidate for the job.
