I just discovered that University of Newcastle has a Biomedical science degree, and I was wondering how different is it from Medical Science?
As of now, I'm planning to do another undergrad degree since I missed out on medicine (umat killed me D:) Some help please?

I believe that Biomedical Science tends to focus more on diseases and the functioning of the body on a cellular level, whilst Medical Science (I believe) tends to observe the human body through a much wider lense, with greater emphasis placed on the body's organs, etc.

The structure of Biomedical and Medical Science courses seem to be identical in the first year according to the UTS 'Student Handbook', though they do vary in the following years:
Medical Science: http://www.handbook.uts.edu.au/courses/c10184.html
Biomedical Science: http://www.handbook.uts.edu.au/courses/c10115.html

Newcastle's course may be different, but I imagine that the UTS Biomedical degree would be quite similar to its Newcastle counterpart.

I myself may be studying Biomedical science at Newcastle :D

I hope this helps.
