Hey all,

Just want your suggestions on a few poems. I am doing Life of Pi as my core text. I don't want a book to analyse (I'm a guy who hates to read books). I like reading poems.

Could you guys suggest some poems, good ones?

Thanks!

'Invictus' by William Ernest Henley is a pretty good one, if you are fine with using an older poem (published in 1888).

My mate said that Invictus gets recommended a lot. Would a marker give me a lower mark for using something that a lot of other people might possibly be using?

I think it should be fine, granted, I didn't end up using it in the actual HSC since we were only specified 1 related material.

On First Looking Into Chapman's Homer by John Keats. It is a set text for prelim but our teacher said it was a good one to use.
