I'd be stoked if I got that, it's easy. You've studied various historians, or if you haven't you will. So make up your own mind and examine historians' views. For example, people like Von Ranke and GR Elton believed in the notion of perfect objectivity of being attainable. EH Carr did, but he generally was more pessimistic, always analysing that 'history is interpretation'-history is what historians make it, i.e. history as written by an individual reflects their personality, their preconceived ideas, biases, etc.

Absorber is right, for the other side of the case you might want to check out historians like Keith Jenkins, Hayden White etc.

what questions in modern hist do you think the hsc test will ask, like in germany, or conflict in the pacific ?
