Does anyone know where you can get the names of people that got top bands for specific non public schools. All i know is that you can get them from the BoS website but you have to go through every name

umm the department of education and training website provides the distinguished achievers list according to their schools

But isnt that just for public schools?

go to the pages and do a search on the page for the school/person you want .. makes it heaps quicker

It lists all schools. The BOS Search function sucks.

use the internet search thing. so if you have the same browser as me click edit, then find on this page ( go to page with list of people) and type in person.school

but i thought the pages were ordered somehow .. i remember i went ages ago and i could find the people from my school quite easily ...

We created Excel spreadsheets of the lists some time ago:

Makes searching much easier.

The first one was made by Joel Nothman (used to run hscstuff.cjb.net - our predecessor). I made the second, and Huy made the third.

oh and btw, Laz where did you get all the info from?

I wrote a program to parse the pages that are on the Board's site and collate the information for me, but I think the others did it manually.

To clear up a two-year-old thread: no, I didn't do it manually, but the data was not on the Board of Studies web site. It was extracted from PDFs on the SMH web site. And no, not manually =)
