Please show me the method to solve this:
The point F(0,1) divides PQ in the ratio t:1/t, where P is (2t,t2). Find Q

Solution is Q(-2/t,1/t2)

Just use the formula for division of intervals... with slight algebraic manipulation to obtain Q. (If you are just learning it, I suggest you prove that before going into questions).
Bonus tip: The ratio t : (1/t) is equivalent to t^2 : 1 which will make working out more manageable.

Argh! Just realised I've been using the y-coordinate for the x value and vice versa
