Not for one fucking second do I miss school. Not a little bit, not even at all. I have so much more freedom here--you just gotta use it responsibly. I make the friends I want to (even in pharmacy, where it's like high school all over again, people are adults and even though it's pretty cliquey, it's never as bitchy as it is at high school--and the presence of guys helps).
I've met people that I never thought I'd meet (both good and bad, but that's all part of the experience). I've learnt to appreciate my background. Mind you, I knew I was lucky (one of the top private schools in Sydney) but it's hard to appreciate till you've got friends coming from as far as Campbelltown.
And most of all, it was a good chance to just get away from the bitchiness of high school. I only keep in touch with the people I want to keep in touch with--2 friends and neither of them were partiuclarly close during high school, actually. Things change, you change too, and it's so much better!
Uni really is the place for me! /peace
