As above. I've always wondered if related texts (for AOS and mod c) scale. If not, are teachers and markers more likely to give more marks to those who choose a higher order related text (eg. A painting vs a movie of some sort)

Answers will be much appreciated

I think if everyone does a film and then one person does a poem.
The people who do a film will get marked more harshly as they will be more compared to each other (as the markers will get bored with the same type related texts)
Biasness(?) towards originality as long as it's done well

But if there is a spread out distribution (doesn't even have to be evenly spread) then no.

Not at all.

If you can extract a whole lot of meaning from a painting per se compared to a film, then you will get more marks.

The whole argument about not using certain text types as a related text is based on the assumption that the number of points you can raise will be limited.

In English Advanced, I ended up using a song for Belonging and a painting for Module C (of course with other related texts as well) and the teachers never raised an issue with me using those text types.

Perhaps stop worrying about things you can't control (scaling), and worry more about things you can control (your writing).
