Re: Do you believe is God?

Sorry, but copying something of the Internet doesn't really display YOUR understanding.
And I'm sure at one stage you sat or are sitting the hsc. Taking something out of it's context, does not mean your proving a point.

Your are simply taking out what WILL help your argument. Which I believe is very negligent of the fact that your not talking to idiots.
I wonder if religous people are all programmed to give the same responses when questioned on their beliefs...

ie ignoring or diverting attention from the question...

Re: Do you believe is God?

are those words in the bible or not?

>your not talking to idiots

10/10 would get trolled again
They most definitely are. But that wasn't the point I was making.
I said clearly!
That you can't take something out of it's text and context.

Well it would seem like common sense not to take something out of it's context.
And please don't stereotype.

Re: Do you believe is God?

Actually there is not conflict there.
I believe that this is true, every other text to me doesn't matter. ( I say that with utter respect, but you get my point)
And which inaccuracies are these? What happened in kings ?
Again what contradictions between science and the bible?
Not in Kings. Actual Kings. Dates are off on the life of King Herod from the historical and biblical account. There are other instances, but that springs to mind.

Most of Genesis comes to mind for scientific contradictions.

Like I said in a previous reply, I am not a theologian.
But if you can't something better then the date, then your argument is weak, I'm sorry.
You seem to fired up about that fact that there is no God, but your evidence against is insignificant.
Again please don't make assumptions without proofs "most of Genesis comes to mind"

Re: Do you believe is God?

And I, am not a biblical scholar. But it is not I that should have to defend my lack of faith. We needed to be presented with evidence for it. I am not claiming there is 'no god', but rather, there is insufficient evidence to believe in one.

I can see no reason to believe that the bible is any more accurate the the Qu'ran. Or the Torah, or the Book of Mormon or the Bhagavad Gita. And there are scholars on all sides who can claim that their text is inerrant. They can't all be right. Therefore, the logical choice is to reject all, until sufficient proof can be given.

Yea the logical choice is the reject all.
But faith is not a logical choice.
Unless you make a personal decision to believe, and have Faith.
No person can convince you otherwise.
Unless you want to live with God, no man can describe it too you.
And I'm sure some of you will comment and hightlight my illogical response.
But sometimes in life you must take that risk, stop being passive, and afraid.
And take a step forward, investigate, discover for yourself. Then make a decision to reject it.
Ask questions.
Not to people of bored of studies, I can be the first to say, I am not a Theologian, nor a scholar to help.

You're right, faith is not a logical choice. And because you have made that choice, as is your right, there is no point in continuing this. I bid you a good night, and pleasant tomorrow.

Well..no he doesnt.

He clearly didnt like the dinosaurs. He wiped them out with a big ass god rock, then refused to mention them in his book. Ultimate form of hate, not acknowledging his first children.
