It is a bit of a respect thing in people's homes, and I also find it a lot more comfortable.

I don't where them at mine, simply because I prefer bare feet. It has nothing to do with cleanliness or respect.

If I'm at somene else's place, I'll just follow whatever they do. If they take them off, so will I.

I never wear footwear indoors, except in winter when i wear slippers cos our house gets pretty cold, and i always take shoes off when i'm in someone else's house.
anyway i heard wearing shoes all the time can give you foot problems, I think with the arch.
