^ i know smoething dissolves when a cell undergoes mitosis and maybe meiosis, but not sure what

I know that for Mitosis during Prophase, the nuclear membrane must dissolve in order for the condensed DNA (now chromosomes) within the nucleus to freely move about to each pole of the cell and allow for later stages of division process to occur.
