If you're attendance is lower than a certain percentage by the end of the HSC year then they will make you repeat that specific subject

Your attendance does not directly influence your marks, however, BOSTES provisions state that a principal can determine that you have failed a course irrespective of your marks if you do not attend a satisfactory percentage of lessons. The satisfactory percentage differs from school to school and schools range in enforcing this policy from absolutely ignoring it to going full retard. Depends on your school.
