Hi,

Long story short - I've finished a B.Science at USYD, and want to go back and do a B.Commerce. I fucked around in my first year (particularly first semester), and have shitty/a couple fails. Everything else, I have done quite well in with at least credits - distinction averages.

Excluding my first year subjects, i could easily get into the B.Commerce degree, however when i include them my GPA goes down significantly. I know USYD has a special access scheme for people with previous tertiary study. Do you think its possible they would accept my application if i can show that yes, my first year marks were shit - but everything else is actually above average and quite good.
Or do i still have to apply through UAC?

In general, does GPA include first year subjects after you have finished your degree?

I think ill scrape in for Macquarie (i assumed this may happen). I was also wondering, as i'de prefer to go back to USYD to complete my commerce degree (i just have a comfort zone there and its close to home etc, and have already completed b.science there), - once i start this b.commerce, does that mean my gpa restarts back to 0? Therefore if i do well in the first 2 semesters i can transfer to USYD to complete the rest of the degree?

Thanks in advance.
