It would be, and there are various aspects of belonging as well. You can say how Donnie doesn't really fit belong at school, neither does Cherita. You can also say how Donnie and Gretchen belong with each other, Gretchen being new in town and all.

I'm thinking of doing Donnie Darko aswell!!! My friend is burning the DVD for me along with 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape' and 'La Vita e Belle' ..... so basically its on my shortlist
compare notes if we both do it ?
