i'm writing up my notes and i am having problems with this dot point

HSC foundation study 2

3 the development of religious plurity and distribution/profile of religious adherence today:

-the formation of the uniting church



i am not quite sure what i really have to put in this dot point any help would be great

In 1920, a basis of union document was first submitted to the membership of the three churches that were contemplating union, Presbyterians, Methodists and Congregationalists.
The three denominations did not eventually unite, however, until June 1977.
Overall the votes were 69% of Presbyterians in favour, 83% of Methodists in favour and 75% of Congregationalists in favour. Unlike the other two denominations, Presbyterians were given a second referendum that gave them the option of uniting or remaining in a continuing Presbyterian Church.
So while all Methodist and most Congregationalists congregations became the Uniting Church, there is still a smaller narrower but continuing Presbyterian Church.
The Uniting Church in Australia was formed on the 22nd June 1977, with Davis McCaughey its first National Assembly President.

you don't really need indepth knowledge into uniting church.....just some basic facts

The formation of the Uniting Church in Australia in 1977
- A movement to unit all Protestant churches
- Uniting Church formed from the Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregationalist churches on 22 June 1977
- Became the new, Australian Church, the 3 largest religious community
- The majority of adherents of the three previous traditions transferred to the Uniting Church, although there are still some original churches operating (mainly Presbyterian/Church of Scotland)
- Culmination of ecumenical discussions dating back to Federation

that's all the notes i had on UCA and it was more than enough...

in the past, the only question on the UCA was in the multichoice but I don trust the BOS...it *may* be a 3 or 5 mark question in the short response section in the future
