Which do you recommend if I want to draw say for example Volumes for integration?
Probably Wolfram Mathematica.

These animations and diagrams are good for showing the shape of the solid, but in terms of analysing it at detail... not quite sure. Hand drawn diagrams are always good.

However, nobody ever gives credit to the Microsoft Office Word shapes and lines. They are excellent if you know how to use it!
