i have 12 units rn including eco and im already in y12 so i drop eco and have 10 but the school wont let me. how do i convince them to just let me drop

Try to tell them that you don't need that subject for what you want to do after high school and (assuming your marks aren't great in that subject) show them that it is your worst subject and won't even count. I did the same thing when I dropped economics

Some schools have policies so that you're not allowed to drop to 10 units in the first term of yr 12 if an extension subject is part of that 10 units (excluding maths and eng ext 1), because you've just picked them up and you need to prove that you can do well in them first. Just fyi
