Is it true that for 2008, the cut off for an E4 was 48? Or was that ext 2?

Well this year people found the exam generally easy, (considering people's comments here) so it could be higher than usual

uhm isnt E4 a mark from 45-50?
they cant change the bands based on the exam?
they dont change the bands exactly but they do all this other shiz of aligning marks.

(i think this is how it works)
lets say the highest this year is 48, then that mark becomes 50.. and then the rest of the marks follow on.
so just because in our bos-report-thing, say if you receive 46/50.. that doesnt necessarily mean you achieved 46/50 in the test.

He means the raw mark so it can fall outside of 45-50

My guess is around 43-44 min but it really doesn't matter since your competing against the rest of the state and we don't really know how the markers will decide on what level of response deserves what mark.

Edit : Smelnizzle beat me to it =/

In 2003- raw band cut off for an E4 was 34/35 out of 50- so i don't expect the cut off would be higher than 40- because trends usually remain the same each year- so perhaps high 30's if you were to consider this an easier exam to past years

Mid 40's for an E4 means there's practically no scaling whatsoever?

These were the 2001 cut-offs posted by Lazurus, wouldn't this years just be a tad higher?
English Extension 1
50/50 = 50/50
45/50 = 34/50
35/50 = (15-27)/50
If not, I'm f'ed.

If you look at the older exams they were considerably harder. Considering the relative difficulties i think it's more likely it'd be 40s this year.
