I got a letter through UAC this morning.
If eligible to a university, what is the next step?

Tennisaddict - I got the same letter in the 'Check Correspondence' section of Check & Change at 12.43am this morning.
However all the letter does is confirm that certain Uni's accept my application.
So now what happens?
Do we ever get told how many marks we're eligible for?
:|
Read the eas booklet again, most unis have reserved places

Eligibility everywhere! In regards to UNSW in particular, (IIRC they give bonus EAS points, not places) does UAC inform how many bonus points are provided?

Same, got mine as well. It's through uac's 'check and change' on their website. I'm eligible for all uni's which is fantastic! Hopefully, I can get into my course now. YAY :)

I just got my letter and am eligible for bonus points at all unis. Now if I got 80.35, what are the chances of me getting into my course which had a 2011 cutoff of 82.50?

Got letter this morning through UAC and eligible for all unis as well. And I'm pretty sure they don't tell how many bonus points you get.

yeah since youre really close to the cut off, im sure eas will help you get in! but like if you were 5 points from the cut off, it shortens your hope for getting in. you should be fine! plus if it makes you feel any better, i heard that cut offs MAY lower this year, due to something to do with "uncapping"

Your Educational Access Schemes (EAS) eligibility
This letter is to advise your eligibility for EAS consideration, for 2014-15 admissions.
The table on the next page lists your eligibility at every institution participating in EAS, whether or not you currently
have a course preference there. You can change your preferences for the Main Round of offers until midnight (Sydney
local time) on Wednesday 7 January 2015. For information about subsequent offer rounds visit UAC’s website at
www.uac.edu.au.
When checking your EAS eligibility, remember that:
being eligible for consideration under EAS at an institution doesn’t guarantee an offer of a place at that institution
- you still have to compete for an offer to your preferred course/s with other applicants
EAS consideration differs between institutions
some institutions do not provide EAS consideration for attendance at a rural or regional school listed under
disadvantage code S01R
some institutions which do not provide EAS consideration for attendance at a rural or regional school listed under
disadvantage code S01R have their own rural or regional scheme and award bonus points separately to EAS for
attendance at designated local schools or rural and regional schools.
Your EAS eligibility at each institution is reflected by the policies adopted above. For more information about
institution policies and EAS schemes read the 2014 Educational Access Schemes booklet, which can be downloaded at
www.uac.edu.au/eas/
If you have any queries, contact the institution directly using the contact details in the table on the next page.
Institutions also have comprehensive information about their EAS scheme on their websites.
In the table institutions have provided contact details. Please be aware that most institutions close on Friday 19
December 2014 (some close on Friday 12 December 2014) and re-open on Friday 2 January 2015.
Main Round offers will be released at 6pm on Wednesday 21 January 2015. If you have queries about changing your
preferences, visit www.uac.edu.au/undergraduate/faq/change-preference.shtml for further information
Yours sincerely,
Andrea Goodwin
