yeah you can sign up to ebay different ways

a credit card - just for age verification
or through an email account from an isp e.g. irpimus, tpg, optus, telsta etc

all this is for age verification -

ah, well yeah :)

nah man, it depends. if your already a member of ebay, then you should be able to sell

you dont need to provide ebay with your credit card details unless you want to - like if you choose to use paypal...

hahaha let me know if it does!

hey freaking_out, umm yeah - regards to your selling question

listing fees shouldnt be that much - as i said, it depends on the options you pick

if your item sells, you have to pay ebay a certain % of the final value to ebay...
umm for stuff under $75, you pay ~6%
$75 - $1000, 2.7%
over $1000, 1%

for single listing items
this is based on the starting price or ur reserve price, whatever u choose it to be

if your selling a car, house or boat, there are no listing fees

for mutilple listing items for same item
same as above, but the max amt i think is about $3.50 or $4.
they call this a dutch autction

listing fees

Opening Value or Reserve Price............. Listing Fee
AU$0.01 - AU$19.99........................ ....... AU$0.35
AU$20.00 - AU$49.99.............................. AU$0.75
AU$50.00 - AU$99.99............................... AU$1.50
AU$100.00 - AU$399.99........................... AU$2.50
AU$400.00 and up ...................................AU$3.50

extra features - post if u want more info
home page feature $50
featured plus $20
highlighted listing $3
bolded listed $2
templates for descriptions 10c
gallrerey 50c
subtitle 50c
featured gallery $15

umm yeah thats it. let me know if you need more help!

so if i couldn't sell an item (worth for eg. $600), the max. i would pay is $3.50 right? and if i did sell it- i would pay (2.7% of $600) $16?...i just wanna know so i can calculate how much i can sell it for. ;)

thanx, for the above reply btw. :)

yep yep yep

thats all you pay IF YOU do not:
- list in 2 cateogries
- have one picture only in description (unless u host)
- use other listing features e.g. bold, highlight, subtext, featured or template

and yeah... :)

this is all for listing items in an auction - not for 'buy it now feature..'

i've got this other question, on this website:

http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/index_popup.html?sell=fees.html

i don't get the what "Table 2. Additional Reserve Price Auction Fee " is abt. (see the attached picture to c this table or go to website).

yeah, so does this table mean, that i gotta also pay 3% of my reserve price for the item- if it doesn't sell? :s

yes, to do a reserve in your auction is PART of your listing options, so you do have to pay it regardless.

yeah, he owns a shop- me wanna sell and make money as well. ;)

yeah, i think it costs around $600- dunno the final price- gotta ask him abt. it... but i think i'll add like $20 onto the price, and also ask $10 for posting- sounds reasonable right?
