Hows everyone going on the essay?

Im going veerrrrry sloooowww...

I want to put in some nice economic model, but I cant find anything. I think I might just wack something in a very ad hoc way. Is anyone doing inflation targeting??? I thought it would have more to write about than sub saharan africa...

There isnt much to say about models, and phillips curve is only mentioned a little, besides, the economic models are way too technical

The question asks us to evaluate inflation targeting regimes:

1)What does Bernanke and Mishkin say about IT?

2)What does Kuttner say?

3)WHat does Kohn say?

4)What does Faust and Henderson say?

5) WHat does Meyer say?

6) WHat does Poole say?

7)What does stevens say?

just piece them up into a coherent evaluation of IT,

It is a long read and it gets very very very technical, taylor rule, backward looking, forwarcd lookind.....i am not going to bother with it...

Dont u have a law104 due tomorrow too Supra?

I think its worthwhile to develop a model. I have. Ive used it to demonstrate the role of expectations, etc.

Except that I spent a long time developing the model, and i know that im gonna be cutting a lot of it.

word... :p

I was thinking of doing the model, because they did include as part of the references for some reason. So its just a different approach to answering the question, whereas a few of us are going for the direct answer...

Yeah I just handed mine in

I spoent about 500 words developing a model...

I'm pretty sure they would be expecting some kind of formal description of inflation targeting. I used it to describe infl targeting, and the role that expectations play.

Then I could use it to demonstrate a supply shock, deflation etc.
