Ee1 Help

Could someone please help me with my Ext. English essay.
The question was to pick a text (I chose Oedipus Rex) and to find modern appropriations and explain why the text was so successful that it was appropriated and how the appropriation resonates with the new responders.

any help would be much appreciated.

I can't think of any appropriations, but you might want to discuss its success in classifying human nature insofar as it contributed to the development of the psychological theory of an Oedipus Complex (something to do with son's loving their mothers)

I have done the approprations bit and yeah i chose Freud's theory
