Well today i just found out that we will be doing a novel study on a book by Elizabeth Gaskell (first time ive heard of her) called "North and South"

Im am wondering if you guys have ever read any of her book or studied them in school.

I am just curious as to her style of writing.

My teacher has chosen to do this instead of 1984...

Any information given would be highly appreciated.

north and south is an awesome book if u lik the classics and industrial revolution etc. Personally, if u cant handle the book, try the movie. North and South is kind of like Pride and Prejudice so it's definitely an interesting piece of text to study.

it's got a bit of everything in there, romance, action, hardship etc

the book was epic boredom for me.
barely got through the second chapter.
