Download Irfanview, or if you have camera software on the computer, save your files as jpegs, with the quality at around 90%. When you go to find the file on your computer, if the size is over 500kb, save it with less quality again.

Hi. I tried to post this last night, but server seemed to crash at just the wrong time...
There's two ways 'I' would do it (and they are both really easy and you will manage them fine)

1. If you have Windows XP, and use Outlook or Outlook Express for you email:
Simply select the pictures that you want to send (from the folder on your computer) and right click them. Then choose Send To --> Mail Recipient. You will be given the choice to make them smaller or to keep them the same size. Choose make them smaller.

2. If you dont use outlook/outlook express, then I would do it using Picasa, which has an Email feature built in. All you have to do it download Picasa from www.picasa.com, and then let it scan your hard disk for pictures. After that, just select the pictures in picasa that you want to email, and go to File --> Email. You can choose to email them using picasa'a service.
I havent done it this way, so maybe you will have to resize them before you do this. I'm sure that picasa also has a resize feature (it seems to do a lot of things)

Hope this helps a little.

If the only thing you do with your photos from a digital camera is email them, it might be better to adjust the settings on the camera itself.
