Yeah, there is a bit of emptiness atm.. just totally numb to the enormity of this whole "I've actually finished 13 years of schooling" thing.

But next few days will be applying for jobs, and going out for coffee and shit.
I think I'm just gonna enjoy a nice, light routine for the next few days:
-Nice morning walk
-Come home, have coffee, read the paper
-Watch midday tv
-Go visit friends
and whatever else happens...

In a sense, yeah - well on the first day after I finished anyway. Now for some reason, I've completely forgotten that I ever did the HSC with all the studying and stress.
I think I like it this way.

I'm sick. So I can't go out.

I'm incredibly bored and I feel like I should be studying something.

I feel so happy that I finished.

Way better than being at school.
Now I can focus on what I want to do, not fuckin Away and Billy Elliot.

yes. most definately.

I figure, you can lessen the effect by PACKING your days.

I softened this effect by going out straight away with a friend. Unfortunately, my Photo ID wasn't good enough for the pub we went to.

So we just hung out. then I went to a party, by the time we got back it was well and truly time to sleep, like 1AM

next day: went resume running everywhere in a nearby city... then my youth council... the next day rode to school to wish people luck for a chem exam, went into down, came back, said "how did it go" to the chem people, then we went down to the waterfront that afternoon...

got back and slept. Had about 2 hours in which I felt empty, and sad as well, about a friend of mine of mine... she now wants nothing to do with me, before going out to dinner and driving.

Today was the first full 'chill day'. And even then I went bike riding for an hour.

lol, tomorrow's an 18th party too. I like being busy!! Got myself an after-HSC project too.

You finally learn that life is a continue process to the attainment of goals; there is no beginning or stopping, just doing! Usually what people fall into the trap is, they focus so much on wanting to get something, they work so hard towards it, and once the attain it, they begin to come to self-realization of "is this all there is"? And thus, lose direction of what to do.

Your career/academics is only one part of your life. To be completely fulfilled and satisfied you have to be able to gain a balance with the social/physical/mental/spiritual/financial components of life. Now, is a time to set new goals!

I have lots of long term goals, HSC is just my short term goal.
