These questions are fairly simple ones, a little research would get these answers easily. See links below.

Q1 - Yes .... and no. Probably no.

Q2 - Yes .... and no. Which one are you talking about?

Perhaps it's the definition.

A composite has two distinct phases. Mixed together separately then formed. Examples include concrete, reinforced concrete, fibreglass, or laminated windscreens.
