Heyy people;

Just wondering, did anyone else get the school cert english assignment? Could somebody please give me ideas to work on?
So here's what its basically about:
Choose one issue portrayed in print media and analyse different techniques of bias presented. The topic could b any current issue of social importance or any general issue eg sports history medicine etc

Any ideas would be GREAAATLY appreciated x

Find any article:

Look at the context
Look at the author
Look at the perspective
Look at the purpose
Look at the style of writing

For example, if you find an article on the London riots published by the British government, you know you're onto something good. Criticize any work that is not written from a purely objective or detached perspective. Eg: If I were to write: "This article is a demonstration of the abhorred behaviour that dominated London" compared to "This article is a demonstration of the behaviour that dominated London"...The first is a lot more emotionally written.

^^ thanks so much those tips were really handy.... im thinking of analysing two articles about finding out the gender of ones child within the first seven months of pregnancy and how this topic is very controversial, and yeah ur right the language in both the articles did differ thanks heaps x)
