Hey guys,

My marks so far, including the half yearlies are average around 64 per cent and my ranking is so far 18/96. Is like a low b6 still possible at this point?

Need more info like school rank? 18/96 in one school is very different to another school

Try to pull your rank up to at least top 5.

You still have the rest of ur assessments/ exams as well as the externals which is equivalent to 75% of ur mark. As long as u can pull up ur marks, you could achieve b6

G’day thanks for replying guys

Can someone pls clarify some questios:
1. How is the externals worth 75%? I thought internal and external was 50
2. On average, for std eng do u need to get a raw mark of above 90 for b6
3. Since avd and std are in some respect marked together, do I need to start producing work of an advanced student (in terms of like quality of essays) to have a chance

1. i think arrivederci meant 50% of externals + ~25% of internals left to be marked

2. really hard to say, i know people that received high 80's raw but end up with b5 cause terrible scaling

3. would be good to do so obvs, but adv do have slightly harsher marking method
