Probably best you put Accounting down as your Key Program and remove it from your Major since you want to be in the field of Accounting.

Hmm yea I changed it now, I hope that would be it.

Whats the difference between Major Accounting and Key Program Accounting though?

From what others have said, Accounting will be the main program you have on your Diploma - which means you've basically mastered in Accounting. While Majoring would mean it's not on your Diploma and it would be the area you specialise in outside your Key Program.

^Check your accounting key program course structure (Unit Set), and input your Autumn unit codes.

For example, the compulsory units you have for your first semester are:

Year 1
Autumn session

200083.1 Marketing Principles

200101.2 Accounting Information for Managers

200336.1 Business Academic Skills

200525.1 Principles of Economics

Enter those four codes (minus the ".1") then confirm your units.

The difference between a major and a key program

A major is not the same as a key program. A key program is the student’s main study area and reflects the type of degree the student is graduating with. The key program will show on a student’s testamur/degree. A major or sub-major is not shown on the testamur/degree but is listed on the student’s transcript.

Majors and sub-majors can be completed using the elective structure within the BBC degree. A major is usually composed of 8 specific units in particular field and a sub-major is usually composed of 4 specific units in particular field. Students are encouraged to complete a major or sub-major to open up a greater choice of career options and to assist them in gaining employment in their chosen field. Students can also choose to complete a major or sub-major offered by another school/College within UWS if they meet required criteria.

A list of the majors and sub-majors offered in the BBC structure can be found in the handbook listing for 2739.1. An updated and more accessible listing will be available in the handbook for next year under 2739.2.

This is what ive chose for Unit Sets, is that fine?

Because somebody mentioned that Unit Sets doesnt apply to us.

Unit sets don't apply to students studying the BBC COMBINED with another degree.
The role of the unit set is to allow students to choose units for both the major and submajor, whereas Combined studies students don't have a submajor.
So Unit sets DO apply unless you're combining courses.
Hope that's clarified that a bit.

^Well, if you're planning to get accredited with the CPA/CA, consider three electives gone - meaning, you can't major in anything because it requires 8 units to complete (note: you have 8 free electives in this course). A major in finance is an exception though, because it has some of the same units as the accounting key program.

A sub-major on the other hand only needs four units to complete, and if you want more information on the various majors/sub-majors, just check the online handbook!

^Usually, key programs will give you 8 free electives (you can use those to complete a major or sub-major). It's possible to not major in anything at all, and just choose random units you like or selecting "easy" units to increase your GPA.

Also, that's the whole point of timetabling... so there won't be a bazillion people there at the same time.
That said, parking at Parra campus is apparently always a nightmare.

I thought that was implied, i'm guessing a couple will reject, ignore and defer etc, but even then, that's an ass load of students :3

Also consider that it's a 'lower UAI course' than, say, Business or Commerce at USYD, MQ, UNSW...
So a lot of those offers were probably offers to lower preferences.
I'm guessing a fair few will be hoping for a late round/final round offer elsewhere.
