I don't think I'm surprised by your news. My friend's aunt got UAI 100 and she did ESL as well. Basically, ESLers need to think of how to get UAI 100, not to get despaired any more.

I didn't do ESL. My mum despised the idea of it. I hate my mum for it...

questions out of curiousity , what sort of UAI u guys are aiming for ?
Myself its a ESL student too , i do 3 , 4 unit maths , physics , ESL and chem.
10 unit i am risking it and i am aiming for a 95 UAI . I know i will get some where around the 90 mark , but since its a goal thing . . . i will make it 95 what about u guys ?

yeah, esl is better than standard. there should be a thread in the Standard section titled 'Standard people do not despair!'

so to tell the esl people something: do not despair. the scaling in ESL is NOT BAD!

yes, an esl student has gotten 100 before, but the highest ever for standard english was 99.95
