The question is rather open-ended in the sense that it requires you to develop a response that encompasses not only your own perspective regarding the statement, but also other possible perspectives. This is important to consider given that it can guide the content of your discursive piece (for example, if your perspective is that of supporting the statement, then other perspectives that you may wish to explore within your response include that opposing/rejecting the statement as well as those that examine the accuracy of the statement on a case-by-case basis.

Depending on the form of discursive piece that you would like to or are required to adopt, you may wish to consider the notion of storytelling as an element to incorporate within your discursive piece.
