For stimulus-based questions, do you have to use them as an example or are you meant to extrapolate ideas out of it?

Explore a range of perspectives, including your own, on the following topic:

‘You don’t need to fit into society or change in order to make an impact.’

The question is rather open-ended in the sense that it requires you to develop a response that encompasses not only your own perspective regarding the statement, but also other possible perspectives. This is important to consider given that it can guide the content of your discursive piece (for example, if your perspective is that of supporting the statement, then other perspectives that you may wish to explore within your response include that opposing/rejecting the statement as well as those that examine the accuracy of the statement on a case-by-case basis.

Depending on the form of discursive piece that you would like to or are required to adopt, you may wish to consider the notion of storytelling as an element to incorporate within your discursive piece. The process of storytelling could be a potential avenue for producing a discursive piece given the fact that you may be required to highlight the perspective that you consider the most rational. An analogy targeting the concepts of inclusion (in the case of fitting into society) or change (in order to create a difference) would enable you to illustrate your support or opposition to the statement, in addition to differing viewpoints. The analogy would therefore constitute part of a short story that can depict success and/or failure to be subsequently included in your discursive piece, throughout which you can incorporate stylistic features as well as techniques/devices/elements that may be inspired by your prescribed text(s). Consequently, you can elaborate on the aforementioned perspectives and ultimately conclude your discursive piece.

I hope this helps! :D
