The answer was 340 kJ i think

its: (11.5/46.06) x 1360 = 339.56
~ 340 kJ

That was an easy question guys, dont worry bout it!

How about that question regarding microscopic membrane filters.
I put (D), ie. large surface area.
I think I remember reading somewhare that using MMFs can eliminate the need to use chemical treating.

Well, 4U maths on Monday

:(

Well, one mole of ethanol produces 1360 kj of energy, ok?

But less than one mole was used, right i.e. 11.5 moles is approx 0.25 moles.

Therefore, a QUARTER of the energy produced by one mole is given off, i.e. 1360/4 = 340 kJ

Simple, right?!

there are 2 answers to the membrane question

because membranes are ALSO used after everything has been chemically treated. so the answer is B as well as D

even our teacher told us before the exam that there were 2 answers
