The syllabus dot-point says: "Assess the evidence which indicates increases in atmospheric concentration of oxides of sulfur and nitrogen".

For the verb 'assess', I know you have to include a judgment at the end, but do you have to include points FOR and AGAINST, or only points for the side of your judgment?

For Asses you usually you need a for and against as well as a judgment at the end

EDIT: just read what you asked properly and I think it's a dot point, for that dotpoint you definitely need a for, against and a judgment

For this dot point, you talk about evidence - then you talk about why it is good information and talk about why it isn't good information.

If you read carefully it says "assess the evidence"

This is also what what friend said, but I've been told in the past by teachers that you shouldn't contradict what you're arguing. So I'm not sure if putting disadvantages in an answer, where my judgement is positive, would weaken my argument.

Nah. For assess, you need to give both adv. + disadv. ---> then a judgement.

The judgement should be pretty much both sided too ---> The evidence is positive since it's allowed blah, however continued research regarding the quality of evidence needs to occur to ensure that more accurate evidence can be found and analysed.
