what is everyone getting in their half-yearlys and trial school certificates? SC actually pretty hard.

The SC trials are meant to be hard i think, i did alright compared to my year, but the results were shit

English - 80 5th
Science- 71 4th (lol!)
Maths - 70 11th
H/G - 74 Cant remember rank

Just did my Science trials today, it was a lot harder than I thought. Somehow the things I studied didn't really turn up in the test. It was more like skills based. I just hope the real SC isn't that hard. Damn....got Commerce and PDHPE trial tomorrow.

I did my science/eng trials today......

English-I think i screw up big time.......
Science-I think i did pretty well, but then again there werent any hard questions in there

Skill questions needs to die...........as well as thoes ones asking "What should the scientist do with this new model etc"

Have geography, history and math to do 2morrow

English: 79/100 (2nd)
Maths: 90/100 (2nd)
Science: 88/100 (2nd)
History: 59/60 (1st)
Geography: 46/50 (1st)
PD/H/PE: 48.5/50 (2nd)

i got my science SC results back and i went terribly.

i hated that test, it was an absolute waste of time, what is the point on getting skills based questions if we study knowlage all year.

Yea i know, I never really liked year 9+10 Science, as the topic tests are often skills based (random questions put together, which has very, very little relevance to what we learn in class). I tend to not do so well in skills. SC science is just frustrating... Can someone tell me what year 11-12 science is like? Is it like year 10 science, where everything is skills based? Or is it like maths where you can do good if you consistently work and drill?

There are still skills questions and you have prac assessments, but so far to a tolerable degree...

how cum u all get ranks? we neva get ranks for our test results, but then agian we havn done all our trials. i got math and hsitory.geo 2morw too.

Hey, I didn't do terribly well, but anyway:

Science - 72% :burn:
Maths - 81%
History - 99%
Geography - 84%
English - 86%

Meh.

I did alright I suppose, compared to people in my grade.

English - 85/90 (1st)
Maths - 81.5/100 (1st)
Science - 73/100 (2nd)
History - 44/50 (1st)
Geography - 41/50 (2nd)

Guess I can't complain, except I screwed up the Science long answer section, big time..

I wanted higher for science though.. can't really be blamed for such confusing questions LoL.

well i did my SC last year but here are my results:

English: Band 3 - 66
Maths: Band 4 - 74
Science: Band 4 - 77
History: Band 5 - 86
Geography: Band 4 - 77

i would of got a band 4 in english if i practiced multiple choice more, as well as in history too i would of got a band 6

Me netiher, history trial was stupid, the paper was based on the previous year's history school certificate paper.

Considering I didnt study for any subjects except for science, im pretty happy. SC is so pointless if youre taking the HSC.
