Hi.

I'm looking to buy Advanced English book(s), but I don't know which one to get. I'll either get Excel HSC Advanced English or the four Top Notes books for the texts that I'm using in class. Which book(s) do you recommend is better to use as a study guide?

Thank you.

So the Excel HSC Advanced English is not really good?

If Top Notes is better, I'm looking the ones for The Simple Gift, Frankenstein and Bladerunner, Speeches and Julius Caesar. If you're selling them, can you please send me a PM?

Don't use excel HSC advanced english. It is too well known.

Interesting. So I won't buy Excel HSC Advanced English, but I'll get the Top Notes books.

In my opinion I don't agree with Excel being bad for all subjects.. It's great for Sciences like Bio.
I agree, Excell is rubbish for English but a great revision guide for Bio, helps me so much in Bio. I really don't think a textbook is all that necessary for English.

I do need a book for English. It's my worst subject. I'm also really bad at explain the effect of a particular technique.

Excel for English is not so good, it's really basic information they have on the texts.

Top Notes is probably the best for english, they go through everything!
