@gloria: I think they marked too hard,

Because I know someone from my school who is ranked 1st (I am 2nd) in EE2, and he didn't even get 40! (I won't say his mark).

I was ranked first in ee2 and I got less than 40 for my mw. The person who was ranked second got 49... people that finsihed their work the night before it was due and barely had a journal got marks for their works in the 40's. Something is fishy about some of the marks in this subject I reckon.

And Jingle, I feel your pain. It was the first mark I searched for on my page, and there were tears here too.

I worked on my Major Work all year, and my journal has hundreds of pages in it.

My friend (1st ranked) scored less than 40 I believe, but I haven't spoken to him yet, and he did his a few days before it was due (and ended up having the highest assessment mark, of course).

I'm 2nd, but I don't think mine is better than his, so I might be under 40 too.

If it's true, then my class failed.

The marks would have ranged from 19 to 30-something.

Our average would have been less than 25, I think. :(

@s2ophie: Night :)

I might lift it, but looking at everyone else's marks, I don't think so. Thanks for having so much confidence in me, :)

for those asking if they marked poetry hard - apparantly they did.

but i still got 49/50 - woot

mine was narrative poetry in the crime fiction genre told from the perspectives of both the murderer and the victim.

everyone i've told has said i've done really well to get 49 for poetry... like teachers and such

It's so unfair that they marked one medium harder than another... if I'd known I would have done a short story. It sucks so much... my mediocre major work mark along with my dissapointing UAI just might make me majorly compain to the board.

dude.. i dont know if that is necassarily the case. did it occur to you perhaps that poetry is in fact a more 'difficult' medium? not that they marked it harder, but maybe just that it IS harder? if so, just feel glad that you made an attempt at the most challenging medium

Huy, white Rabbit meant from our school in particular :D

Just so you know, my teacher is making an appeal to have my major work remarked cause he disagrees with the mark. I didn't know that this was possible, so if anyone else thinks their mark is wrong then see your teacher and see what they think. It probably won't change anything but it's worth a try.

Melissa? Good on her! And yep, I know her :D

VJ got 49 too? I remember her stressing about her Major Work - she deserves such a great mark :D

And it's looking like ya all did pretty damn well! Congrats to you all :D
