I do not do ext2 English because adv is hard enough

But yes everyone who does ext2 does adv

although i do find ext2 helps with advanced, esp with mod c and reflection statements i would definitely do it if you're considering it!

As everyone else has already said- yes. But you have no external HSC exam, all 50 external marks come from the major work. As for internals, you'll have three assessments that are all hand-in tasks. So doing extension 2, extension 1 and advanced all at once isn't as heavy as it sounds because during exam blocks (trial, external HSC) you will only have to grind for advanced and extension 1. I believe this is a big reason why extension 2 maths causes you to drop advanced. Having to do trials and HSC for all three maths subjects would be hell, as well as the fact that extension 1 and 2 maths both have FOUR internal assessment tasks while extension 1 and 2 english only have three.
