Extension 2 Mindset (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm just starting to learn extension 2 and immediately I can see how creative you have to be, connecting and linking up various aspects of questions and results.

Do you have any advice on how to think more creativity in MX2?
Or more generally is there a particular mindset for MX2?

It comes down to practice, really. Practice a lot and practice a variety of problems.

More practice -> Easier to see alternative approaches.

The only mindset bit is be willing to work hard and ask a lot of questions.

Creativity is, in my opinion, quite minute until you get to questions that start targeting high band E3.

A lot of the concepts require nothing more than understanding what you're being taught and how to apply it.

But as for those that do target high band E3/band E4, refer to the answer above. And even then I wouldn't say creativity is the right word.

ext 2 maths is like playing a sports. You dont get better at playing table tennis by locking away in a room and learning theory, you learn it by watching other people play and playing it yourself
