I think that it just depends with your school.

Do i have to do an extension to get a good uai >95?

  • Chemistry
  • Adv. English
  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Economics
  • Business Studies
Can i pick up ANY extension at the start of year 12 with these subjects?

Year 11 student that NEEDS a uai of 98.5 (or at least above 95)

I'm pretty sure you can't do any extension subjects next year.
But those are good subjects, as long as you do reasonably well, you'll easily get a UAI >95.

As long as you good rankings, you're on the way to get >95 UAI.

what would anybody suggest are the most high ranking or most important subjects that i have (top of thread)

In other words, which subjects do i have to place extra attention and focus on as it may boost my UAI if i get good results .......

many thanks for the help so far :)

i think bio and busi are the low scaling subjects there, so i suppose its much more important to go well in them. in saying that, ranking well in high scaling subjects are even better for your uai.

Maintaining good ranks throughout should be what you should try to aim for. Being very weak in one subject could ultimately destroy your UAI, that is if you have no backup subjects.

Yeh i'm not sure what to do yet...

Preliminary
3u English
3u Maths
Legal Studies
Modern History
Biology

I'm thinking of taking up 4u English and ext History and dropping bio...but then i will have 4u English, 3u Maths, 3u History and Legal...are that many extension units going to be too much work?
