i have forgotten how to do this simple question, please help.

-x^2+3x+4=0

-x^2+3x+4=0
you can times both side by -1 first, to get rid of the negative sign infront of the x^2 term..

so you get X^2 -3x-4=0

by inspection... or using the quadratic formula on ur calculator, the factors are 4 and -1 hence (x-4)(x+1)=0

or use the cross method as mentioned above

X -4

X 1
________
-3X

hence the factors are (x-4)(x+1)=0
