i was new to the school at the time and still struggling with some health issues so i think the school was giving me leeway. the school is also public and just doesnt have much time to chase up people and give them n awards.

honestly love my parents for not putting me in the selective sectors bruh. I'd be such a dropkick compared to the other students

no you wouldnt be a dropkick the school would make you one
people complain a lot but sometimes it just comes down to what you put in. going to private makes school a lot easier, youre spoon fed the resources you need and youre going to have teachers. but you still can do well as long as you put in effort even if youre at a shit school

no one gets spoonfed. Why do yall think private schools are some atar inflating tutoring centres... the only difference is the facilities and opportunities for extracurriculars. Academically, its relatively the same environment/similar environment to a public school.

my friends in private have much better access to resources such as papers, textbooks, etc and the school just gives it to them. having access to resources readily helps out, but the thing is if you dont utilize those resources then youre still going to flunk. in private it still does come down to what you put in, just as public, but it can be a bit less tedious when resources are readily available.

private def doesn't spoonfed bc a lot of privates would do better but i think a lot of ppl that go private can also afford good tuition. also yes ive also seen ppl get good resources in private but yeah they dont necessarily do better. if you fail you fail no matter where you are

'spoonfed fed the resources' is referring to resources, as in learning material. not getting spoonfed a good atar or whatever. "having access to resources readily helps out, but the thing is if you dont utilize those resources then youre still going to flunk. in private it still does come down to what you put in, just as public, but it can be a bit less tedious when resources are readily available."

high school isn’t uni, there’s not set percentage where if you get below you’ll “fail” a course. people got like 15% in some prelims at my school and had no problems

Regardless, none of the resources I've used are from school 😭 majority is from me scavenging on this site and talking to ppl/trading w them. Lowkey the only students in my school who r in the top 25%tile all do tutoring or have received help from other means (IN a private school). No school resources really help out, especially with subjects such as math, science and english (except for maybe feedback from teachers and stuff) bc most are available online anywyas 😭 I hoenstly only have touched some commercial papers from my school FULL STOP. You statement holds for students doing your subjects, but that doesn't the majority latter as you're generalising using one person's experience with their UNIQUE selection.
