* Unnamed Political enemies who he says "might have drugged him" (also known as the Malcolm Fraser Memphis defence), which caused him to take the offending photographs, put them onto his PC and upload them to the interweb;

* Alcohol inasmuch as he says he "might have been drunk off my face" and yet he looks so ominously sober;

* Photoshop, insisting with words that few politicians would ever want to say (on the record at least) to any journalist "But that's not my penis."

* Poor memory. "I can tell you, it's not me. I know these things. But really, I can't remember... All I know have been humiliated."

* An unidentified co-conspirator. "Over two years ago I drunkenly shared, in confidence, photos of myself in what appears to be an inappropriate position, though I completely deny that the third composite image is me or mine." As you would.
