The new Coheed and Cambria is definetely the awesome. Might have to listen to some of the new Deftones one to see if it matches up to White Pony

i thought the album dipped severely in the middle
i love glosoli to bits, but tracks like milano and se lest seem fairly pedestrian

The first time I listened through I thought similarly, but since I've come to love the entire album. There are defintely highlights (Glosoli, one of the greatest songs in recent memory, and Saeglopur especially) but I think each track works to support the album. Stuff like Se Lest and Anduari aren't brilliant, but are still very good, in my opinion.

I'm still trying to figure out which album of theirs I love best! I didn't think Agaetis Byrjun could be topped.

I didn't. :(

I knew of them, but I wasn't as familar with their music. About a week after the gig a friend mine (who went) wouldn't stop with his ravings, so I picked up Agaetis Byrjun and have been kicking myself ever since for taking so long to get it!

Let's hope they'll produce something new quickly, or at least tour again soon.

I actually think milano is an awesome song. Plus the album art and case are brilliant.

i would have to go either let it die - feist or twin cinema - new pornographers.
Twin Cinema is highly infectious and has quite a good variety for a 'power pop' great stuff :)

The case is cool and very sexy, but soo impractical. It doesn't fit in any CD holders, doesn't fit alongside my other CDs.. doesn't fit in my glovebox.. Grr..

although i haven't heard the full albums from some of these artists and still have a lot to hear in general.... animal collective, akron/family, lightning bolt, angels of light, jesu, birchville cat motel, sufjan stevens, antony & the johnsons, dalek, quasimoto, lau nau, high on fire, six organs of admittance, and a few more have all had worthwhile releases.
