i absolutely love shane schofield, how can you not but i also love knight as well hes a good but sometimes bad guy hes great
the other characters i love are stephanie plum, her mum and morelli from the plum series by janet evanovich they are the best books for a laugh i suggest them to anyone

For me, quite are few, but i better sum it down;

* Hercule Poirot (much better than miss marple!) - Agatha Christie

* Sherlock Holmes (& Waston is pretty good too!)

* Marvin - HitchHicker's Guide To The Galaxy

* All 7 of the Doctors..from the Dr Who novels!

1) Belgarath from the Belgariad, Mallorean and Belgarath the Sorceror.
2) Prince Kheldar (Silk) from the Belgariad and the Mallorean.
3) Pug/Milamber in the Riftwar, Serpentswar, Conclave of Shadows and Darkwar series.

And my last three will get me yelled at but...

4) Severus Snape from the Harry Potter series.
5) Voldemort from the Harry Potter series.
6) Wolfstar from the Axis Trilogy.

ive only read The Brothers Karamazov...which one should i read next?

umm not so sure on favourite character but probably Stephen Dedalus in A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by the legend that is joyce or Humbert Humbert in Lolita by Nabokov...go the irrepressible witty paedo

hmmm, I don't know which one I should suggest.... probably crime and punishment, it's probably more acsessible. Though personally I found "The Idiot" very interesting, ney, profound. Very good read if you are interested in Christ-like figures who are very honest (only tell the truth), and how these rare (ie impossible) characters fit into society. I myself loved the book... based on my limited experience, if you like dostoyevsy's style, either of these books will please you.

for me Brothers Karamazov was the most mentally taxing book ive ever read...the detail just blew me away. and the monologues...haha

Definitely Elizabeth Bennet from Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice'... I love her wit/ sarcasm =] And also Mr Darcy for his conceit, arrogance and 'selfish disdain for the feelings of others'.

I swear every chick has to read this book.
