well i like both versions of cape fear, the gregory peck is better in that it stays closer to the book
and i personally found the western version of the ring scarier, maybe it's a subtitle thing

Fight club was a brilliant movie! anyway...

My top 6 (sorry couldn't make it 5) at the moment are:

*Star Wars trilogy (old ones of course) - its got a good story, some great actors, good special effects for the time, some nice twists and turns too. esp. the moment... "Luke... I am ur father!"
*The Fifth Element: loved the costumes, humurous characters, spontaneous moments i.e chris tucker singing on the plane and his freaky hairdo! Can watch this one over and over again.
*The Butterfly Effect - makes you think about how life could turn out so differently if things had been done differently in the past. Ashton K plays quite well in this by the way.
*Edward Scissorhands - childhood favourite.
*The Matrix - brilliant sci-fi movie, loved the special effects, intriguing questions about life itself i.e. is what we 'see' real? or are we in a virtual reality world of our own?
*Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl - johnny depp is swash buckling pirate in it. Lovely action packed adventure.... Good eye candy, no one took themselves seriously so all good fun. Need I say more?

Meh I hope that made sense i'm so bloody tired.
