Hey everyone, I totally get what you’re saying - Economics can feel overwhelming with the sheer amount of content, essay scaffolds, and the endless stat memorisation. A lot of students know the theory, but it’s the evidence and structure that really separates a Band 6 from the rest.
That’s actually why I built
EconTools Pro. During the beta I noticed students were spending hours trying to piece everything together - finding stats, matching them to essay questions, and grinding MCQs - so I created a platform that puts it all in one place.
Here’s how it works:
Stats Dashboard – 2,000+ stats organised by syllabus so you don’t have to dig through random articles.
Essay Builder – sample structures for every past essay since 2015, plus marking criteria and insights on what students did well (and not so well).
MCQ Bank – practice past paper questions that adapt to your weak spots.
Monthly Stat Newsletter – keeps your examples fresh right up to exams.
Exemplar + Feedback – one Band 6 exemplar essay each month, plus feedback on one of your own essays.
It’s $10/month with a free 2-day trial, and the goal is to save you from burning time organising notes so you can focus on actually writing and practising.
Whether you use EconTools or just make your own “stat pack,” my biggest advice is:
always structure your paragraphs around theory + diagram → cause → effect → stat/example → analysis. If you nail that with 2–3 current examples per topic, you’ll feel way more confident heading into trials.
