Hi everyone,

Is there anyone that wants to do film?

Does anyone know of any good places to go?

I was thinking Canberra, but I really want to stay Sydney based.
UTS has a great course, but you need 96.70.. that's a long shot for me. There's also NSW at COFA. But I'm not very big on other areas of Fine Arts.

Let us know!

Cheers.

There are a few Film subjects at UNSW - but I think that't part of the Media & Communications degree.

which part of film do you want to go into? like the writing, or the designing, or the acting, or the directing? if you're loaded, then australian film, television and radio school is really good, but as i said you have to be rich (courses cost like a lot, cant remember exactly how much maybe 12 500?) but they only run for two years full time so its quick.

i want to get into the design course at nida, except im not gonna be 18 until march so i have to apply next year. but the design and technical production courses are recommended for high school students finishing year 12, but like don't even bother trying to get into nida with acting, its freakin impossible.

umm if you dont think you can get into uts media arts + production, do an easier course and transfer in second year. im trying to get into this writing and contemporary cultures course which is like 94 or something, so its a bit lower.

umm charles sturt has good courses on film and theatre too, cept their campuses are in the middle of nowhere.

anyway good luck

none of your fricken business, i know where you li
i actually wanted to do film last yr. i tell you whats good, media arts production at UTS, it'll have hte best resources for film and you'll get industry professionals teaching you.

you can also specialise after first or second yr whether you wanna be a camera [wo]man, a sound person, a screen writer, its a funkai ass course.

its practically the only uni to offer 16mm.

or if you don;'t get in you gotta haul ass for a yr and transfer into it.
