I want to do finance post-school and have seen cadetships (UBS, Barrenjoey, Maq etc) are a good way of getting a foot in the door.

does anyone know what the application process is like and how difficult it is? or any info at all about it would be sm help

are you interested in a particular field/subset within finance? finance itself is a bit broad and narrowing down your options may make it a little easier in terms of assessing your options and deciding what cadetships you can go for

Yeah no totally main goal is PE but would do IB if needed, unfortunately not smart enough for hedge funds lol!

well private equity is quite the task to get into straight from undergrad, let alone out of high school. But in general, have a look around on LinkedIn etc at such places and ‘cold email’ some of them (generally better if they are alum of your uni or hs). I know that most firms don’t really advertise this sorta thing but if you know or email the right people, you may have a chance

UBS cadetship may be a decent place as well
