Where are you finding your texts? I've located a few online that I would like to pick up but I couldn't find any of them in the library, so it looks like I have to purchase them.

On a side note, if I do purchase them can I claim them on that government rebate thing and get the money back?

Depending on your topic, you may find alot of your texts online. Particularly, I found there were alot of ancient texts which had been scanned and available free of charge on the web.

Have you tried searching Uni libraries? Macquarie University has a library program aimed specifcally at History extension students, where you pay $20 and you are able to take the books home to use for 2 weeks. Although you are able to post them back, you have to physically pick them up.

No idea if they are able to be claimed through tax.
